PUBLIC ACCESS TO INFO MANUAL
Section 51 of the Promotion of Acvess to Information Act, 2 of 2000 makes it compulsory for the head of every private body to compile a manual and to make the manual available on the web site, if any, of the private body and at the principal place of business of the private body for public inspection during normal business hours.
A 'private body' is defined and means:
(a) a natural person who carries or has carried on any trade, business or preofession, but only in such capacity;
(b) a partnership which carries or has carried on any trade, business or profession;
(c) any former or existing juristic person.
